CapitalFC is a fast-growing soccer club that focuses on player development. If you are in the Washington D.C. area and you are looking for a year-round soccer program, you have come to the right place. CapitalFC has competitive teams in the Eastern Development Program (EDP), National Capital Soccer League (NCSL) Washington Area Girls League (WAGS) and Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL). Teams and players are placed to ensure they are continually challenged. In the off-season, the club holds frequent training sessions and pick-up games that will test the skills of players against varying age groups. Teams primarily train in Washington DC just a block away from 295 in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
U7 and U8 players who are too young for travel soccer train with our Academy Program which plays games on Saturday afternoons against other clubs. Travel players within CapitalFC will participate in tournaments with their assigned team, but may also guest play with other Club teams. This is a fun opportunity for players within the Club to meet each other and adapt to the style of different players and coaches.
CapitalFC players have been selected to the Olympic Development Program (ODP) in all age groups. CapitalFC players have also been selected for the ODP Regional team, have participated in European ODP trips, and have been selected to participate in the US Club Soccer national id2 player development program.
CapitalFC is a Washington DC-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We provide coaching and support for youth sports with a particular focus on soccer. In addition to sponsoring local teams that play in competitive leagues, Capital Travel Sports builds community by introducing local youth to soccer, instilling a passion for the game, and seeking ways to promote diversity. We accomplish our mission by providing
(*) financial aid for families to participate on sports teams;
(*) support of school programs, recreation facilities and equipment for youth to further develop athletic skills; and
(*) partnerships with other organizations such as the DC Player Development Academy, Sports on the Hill, DC United, DC Department of Parks and Recreation and DC schools.
