CapitalFC Players and Coaches Lead Schools to City Championship Wins

DC's public and charter school champions were recently crowned, with a significant CapitalFC contribution.  All goals in the final matches were scored by CapitalFC players, and both winning teams were coached by CapitalFC coaches.

In the DCIAA finals, the Wilson Tigers, coached by Whitney Minnis, defeated Bell Multicultural by the score of 1-0.  The game winner was scored by senior Ben Montague, a member of the CapitalFC Cosmos.  Montague was brought down in the box at the end of the first half and converted the PK.  Six other CapitalFC players contributed to the Wilson championship run, including Eli Moraru, Ben Wilson, Ian Carroll, Marco Carrero, Theo Biddle and Joshua Moneme.

The Public Charter School Athletic Association boys' final pitted E.L. Haynes versus the Washington Latin Lions, coached by Micah Cooks.  A tight match finished 2-0 for the Lions with two goals netted by sophomore Bjorn Shockey, a member of CapitalFC United.  CapitalFC United players Tito Hinton and Noah Freeman also made significant contributions to Latin's title run. Congrats to our CFC players and coaches for their great performances.
